Job summary

St Giles Spencer Academy is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team on a part-time, term-time basis at the Sir Frank Whittle Road site. You will help set up dining areas and support pupils with additional needs, working calmly and creatively as part of a friendly staff group.

The role is permanent, 15 hours per week, 10:45am to 1:45pm, Monday to Friday during term time plus INSETS (39 weeks per year). You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be a reliable team player.

About this Role

St Giles Spencer Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Catering Assistant to start as soon as possible on a part time, term time only, permanent basis. This position will be based at our Sir Frank Whittle Road site where some lone kitchen work is expected. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be calm and creative in your approach to working with pupils with additional needs. We also need someone who is physically capable of setting up the dining hall which will include putting tables up and tidying them away, as well as dining chairs.

The Working Hours for the role are:

• Permanent, part‑time role
• 15 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 10:45am-1:45pm
• Term time only plus INSETS (39 weeks per year)
