We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our hospitality team. If you have a passion for food and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Your Role – Enhancing Mealtimes, Enriching Lives

As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents. Working closely with our Chef, you’ll support all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring every mealtime is a positive and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meal Preparation: Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing fresh ingredients
  • Cooking Support: Follow recipes and assist with cooking and presentation of meals
  • Meal Service: Plate and serve meals, ensuring dietary needs and presentation standards are met
  • Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with food safety regulations
  • Stock Control: Help monitor stock levels, rotate ingredients, and support inventory checks

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role is preferred (minimum 1 year desirable)
  • Training: Food Hygiene Certificate is ideal (training can be provided)
  • Attitude: A positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to a resident-focused environment
  • Team Player: Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents
