South West Norse is seeking a Catering Assistant at Colyton Primary School for a part-time, temporary role during term time. You will assist with preparation, cooking, presentation and service of nutritious food and beverages, while upholding food hygiene and H&S standards.

Responsibilities include setting up before service, serving lunches, clearing and cleaning, and supporting with general catering duties.

Job description

You will be supporting all aspects of the catering service including ensuring completion of the preparation, cooking, presentation and service of our nutritious food and beverage outlets to students and staff while complying with food hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures. This customer facing role will provide you with great exposure to all aspects of the catering environment with lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills within the industry. As well as:

• Setting up the hall before service
• Serving lunches to customers
• Clearing tables and cleaning the dining area after service
• Assisting with general catering duties as required
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and customer service

As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant join our team at Colyton Primary School on a part-time, Temporary basis working Term-time only., While we would ideally be seeking an individual that has previous experience within the role, at Norse we can offer full training and support for enthusiastic individuals who are looking to develop within the catering industry with a national company. We will expect you to demonstrate:
