Redhill Academy Trust is hiring a part-time Catering Assistant for The Carlton Academy in the Carlton area. You will support high-quality meals in a busy school environment and contribute to student wellbeing through nutritious catering.

The role offers a warm induction, ongoing CPD, and a supportive team. You will handle cashless tills, service, and food prep while maintaining health and safety standards during term time.

Formación

• Experience in catering or school dining preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to operate cashless till system.

Responsabilidades

• Operate the till using the NRS cashless system.
• Assist with the counter service of food.
• Help with the preparation of hot and cold food.
• Keep dining and prep areas clean and tidy.
• Wash and dry equipment.
• Ensure dining room is clean at end of session.

Redhill Academy Trust Pay Scale Band 5, Scale Point 28

Actual salary: £18,722.26 per annum (FTE: £25,218.62)

32.5 hours per week - Part time, Permanent, Term time only

Your role…

As a Catering Assistant, You’ll

• Operate a till in line with NRS cashless catering system.
• To assist with the counter service of food.
• To help with the preparation of hot and cold food.
• To keep all food preparation and service areas clean and tidy.
• To wash and dry equipment.
• To ensure the dining room is clean and tidy at the end of each session, including wiping of tables.
• Take delivery of food stock and ensure they are to the required standards.
• To have a full understanding of the required level of health and safety, food hygiene and nutritional standards.
• To have good product knowledge.
