An opportunity has become available and we are looking to employ a self-motivated individual to work as part of the Catering Team.

Role: Catering Assistant

Location: Reaside

Hours: 30 hours over 5/7 days

Role Purpose:
To assist in providing a high-quality food service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Catering

• Perform general catering duties such as serving food, cleaning premises and equipment, preparing snacks, salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and beverages.
• Safely operate mechanical and electrical equipment, including wash-up machines and floor cleaning machines, following appropriate training.
• Check meal order sheets to ensure correct food is served as per requests.
• Have knowledge of allergens within food service.
• Assist in the introduction of new staff under the guidance of the Catering Shift Leader/Supervisor.
• Provide food service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Stock

• Receive and store goods in accordance with departmental HACCP procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing the main kitchen and support senior chefs with cooking duties when required.
