Job summary

Wren Kitchens in Barton-upon-Humber is seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join our kitchen at the state-of-the-art factory. This full-time role runs five days a week, Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30, with a salary of £28,332.

You will be responsible for replenishing vending machines, coordinating with suppliers to maintain stock levels, assisting with basic food preparation and service in the canteen, and keeping the workstation clean and orderly.

Qualifications

• Catering experience is essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to cover other staff due to holidays, sickness etc.
• Interest and knowledge of food.
• Capable of working in a culturally diverse environment.
• Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with the replenishment of vending machines.
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained for the vending machines by liaising with suppliers and regularly checking stock levels.
• Basic preparation, serving and handling of food in the canteen when required.
• Keeping the workstation tidy, includes clearing down at the end of the shift, washing up and good observation of cleanliness.
• Being part of the cleaning rota on a weekly basis.
