Job summary

Woodhouse Grove School is seeking a friendly, reliable Kitchen Assistant to support our catering team. You will help prepare and serve meals to pupils and staff, assist with servery setup, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen. This 30-hour per week role runs all year round, Monday to Friday 12:00pm–6:30pm.

Prior educational experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided. A warm, confidential manner, good communication with staff and students, and punctuality are

Qualifications

• Experience in school or educational environments is welcome but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the kitchen is helpful but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and serve nutritious meals to pupils and staff.
• Assist with setting up servery counters.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Washing up manually or using the dishwasher.
• Support the team during busy lunchtimes.

• Support the team during busy lunchtimes Previous experience in an educational environment is preferred but not a requirement, however, the ability to communicate easily with staff and students is essential.
