Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West is seeking a Catering and Retail Assistant to join the Crewe Campus team. The role is based primarily at Crewe with the flexibility of working at other campuses.

It is a permanent contract for 20 hours per week, term time only, with a salary of £24,784 pro rata per annum (£11,855 actual). The role involves food preparation for sale, maintaining clean kitchen equipment, processing online stock orders, and upholding child safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (C/4 or higher) or willingness to work towards.
• Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject or willingness to work towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to work towards.
• Experience in the Hospitality and Catering sector.
• Experience of cashing up.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of food for sale to customers.

We are seeking a Catering and Retail Assistant to join our team; the role will predominantly be based at the Crewe Campus with the flexibility of working at our other campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of food for sale to customers;
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and fit for purpose;
• Undertaking online stock orders and checking deliveries; and
• Promote the welfare of children and young people.

Key Person Specification Requirements

• GCSE Grade C(4/5)inMathsand Englishor equivalent (or willingness to work towards);
• Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject are (or willingness to work towards);
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to work towards)
• Experience in the Hospitality and Catering sector;
• Experience of cashing up; and
• Enhanced DBS check.
