ProcureOne are pleased to be partnering a Globally renowned brand name to help them attract a first class Procurement Category Manager to join their team as they continue to develop and grow.

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager and working within a fantastic procurement team you will lead end to end procurement across a number of indirect category areas focussing Travel, Meetings & Events. This will include:

• Managing the end to end procurement cycle including the preparation of pre-tender, RFQ, tender documents, tender execution and contract award.
• Identify and deliver sourcing opportunities across the Travel business areas through insight and analysis.
• Lead on spend analysis, supplier fit & supplier market reviews
• Manage supplier risk, supplier controls & governance and ensure that risk assessments are applied to all sourcing decisions.
• Manage the relationship and engagement with internal stakeholders up to director level through regular and close working relationships.
• Collaborate with business leads to ensure the best deal has been achieved. Lead on commercial and contractual negotiation across designated category areas.
• Contract management and drafting of terms
• Improve procurement team process and policy and take own initiative to spot better ways of working.
• Support the business in drafting specifications to ensure the final product is clear, unambiguous and meaningful to the marketplace.

Suitable candidates will have proven Travel Procurement Category Management experience or will be generalists with some good exposure to the Travel Category.

Team fit is crucial for this role so you will ideally be CIPS qualified with a professional approach and be able to push back and challenge appropriately.
