This is a Remote home working role. The Sub-Category Manager will develop procurement plans aligned with category and central commercial drivers, including sustainability. Responsibilities include preparing negotiation strategies to secure Value for Money (VfM), managing competitions, advising on compliance, assessing demand on existing contracts, and developing transition plans for new suppliers. The role also involves managing the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process tailored to supplier types, providing line manager support, owning non-pay savings initiatives, and continuously improving business processes across faculties. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with a collaborative approach. You should have a background in procurement or commercial roles, hold a degree or equivalent experience, and demonstrate impact through plans, metrics, and targets. Experience managing tenders, contract negotiations, SLAs, and supplier performance monitoring is essential.
