Senior Recruitment Consultant - Procurement & Supply Chain at Talent Drive

Category Buyer | Indirect Services | Global Food Brand

Surrey Offices 2 days per week, the rest working remotely.

Overview:

Talent Drive is excited to announce our partnership with this fantastic global food brand, which is seeking a Category Buyer to join their growing team to focus on Indirect Services.

With the support of the Procurement team, you will have the autonomy to negotiate with suppliers, build strong relationships, and manage the end-to-end execution of the sourcing process. Key responsibilities:

1. Build strong partnerships with Operations teams to manage supplier performance.
2. Support business functions with forecasting and supply chain management for key strategic suppliers within indirect, ensuring optimal stock levels, pricing, and timing.
3. Manage multiple projects across the indirect space.
4. Improve organizational profitability through analysis, action planning, and execution.
5. Focus areas include contracts (waste, uniforms, smallwares), repairs, maintenance, and development.
6. Analyze supplier and contract performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve execution.
7. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement and track projects delivering benefits.
8. Define category and sourcing strategies aligned with short- and long-term goals.

Skills and experience required:

1. Strong analytical skills to derive insights from data.
2. Experience in food service, FMCG, or retail environments.
3. Proven ability to work collaboratively with complex stakeholders.
4. Understanding of contract KPIs and driving supplier performance.
5. Experience in Supply Chain or procurement roles.
6. At least 2 years in roles such as Analyst, Buyer, Supply Chain, or Store Management, preferably in retail, food service, or FMCG.
