Job summary

Boots is seeking a Category Assistant for Fragrance in Nottingham to help shape the shopping experience in our Beauty Business Unit. You will support promotional campaigns, pricing strategies and ensure a customer-led fragrance range in-store.

You will collaborate with marketing, pricing and store teams, set up offers in the SAP system, manage promotion funding, and analyse sales data to drive category performance. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• In-depth understanding of SAP programmes.
• Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and via Teams or email.
• Ability to develop knowledge of category strategy, performance, and range.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of customer promotions by setting up campaign offers on the Boots SAP system.
• Collaborate with marketing and pricing teams to ensure accurate setup of promotions.
• Confirm promotional funding with suppliers and maintain a tracker for invoicing.
• Check invoice calculations and coordinate with the Trading Process team for accuracy.
• Assist the assistant category manager in reviewing competitor pricing activity.
• Support the stores help desk and customer care team with category-related queries.
• Run sales reports and analyse data for the team and suppliers.
• Raise Purchase Orders for marketing and merchandising activities.

As a Category Assistant in our Beauty Business Unit, you'll play a vital role in shaping the shopping experience for our customers at Boots. Your contributions will directly impact our promotional campaigns and pricing strategies, ensuring we deliver a competitive and customer-led range in-store. Collaborating with various teams, you'll help drive sales and enhance our brand's presence in the fragrance category.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of customer promotions by setting up campaign offers on the Boots SAP system.
