Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a commercially curious Category Analyst in Slough to help shape the future of our food categories. The role focuses on turning data and customer insight into ideas that drive growth, beyond the numbers.

You will work with experienced Category Managers on category strategy, range reviews, NPD, and customer insight across Butchery, Cakes & Bakery and other specialist food sectors, using Excel and Power BI to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyse sales and product performance.
• Experience with category reviews and NPD is helpful.
• Experience in foodservice, retail or FMCG is advantageous.

We're looking for a commercially curious Category Analyst to join our Buying team and help shape the future of our food categories.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys looking beyond the numbers - asking "why is this selling?", "why isn't it?" and "what could we do differently?" - and turning data and customer insight into ideas that drive growth.

You'll work alongside experienced Category Managers, gaining hands-on exposure to category strategy, range reviews, NPD, customer insight and commercial decision-making across areas including Butchery, Cakes & Bakery and other specialist food categories.

Is this you?

You're analytical, commercially minded and naturally curious. You enjoy working with data but also want to understand the story behind it. You're organised, confident communicating with others and excited by products, food and consumer trends.

Experience in foodservice, retail, FMCG or a supplier environment would be a real advantage, but we're equally interested in your commercial mindset and potential.
