Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a Category Executive to support category reviews, strategy and data-driven growth opportunities. You will analyse performance, understand customer needs and help optimise product ranges across various channels.

Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is preferred, with collaboration across Buying, QA and technical teams. The role offers a hybrid working model (minimum 2 days in the office) and is aimed at individuals with strong analytical, organisational, and communication

• Create and coordinate category collateral, including digital and printed content.
• Support category events, supplier engagement and industry/trade shows.

Category Executive

Location: Hybrid - minimum 2 days in the office

Salary: Up to £30,000

What You'll Be Doing

• Support category reviews and strategy, using data and insight to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyse category and product performance, competitors and customer needs.
• Use Excel (including Pivot Tables) and Power BI to manipulate, analyse and present data.
• Help optimise product ranges across different customer channels and sectors.
• Manage the Own Brand NPD and range-gap Bidflow process alongside Buying, QA and technical teams.
• Identify opportunities across Own Brand, Branded and Exclusive Brands.
• Work with customers and suppliers to understand market trends and product opportunities.
• Create and coordinate category collateral, including digital and printed content.
• Support category events, supplier engagement and industry/trade shows.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Analytical and commercially curious, with a genuine desire to understand what drives category performance.
• Confident working with data, Excel and ideally Power BI.
• Comfortable engaging with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A strong communicator who can influence and collaborate across teams.
• Passionate about food, products and consumer/customer trends.
• Previous foodservice, retail, FMCG or supplier-side experience would be highly beneficial.
