About the Role

This position involves quantitative catastrophe risk analytics, advising on risk perspectives, and supporting clients' risk management activities, including reinsurance optimization and placement.

1. Access to catastrophe modelling platforms such as RMS and Verisk.
2. Work with Aon’s proprietary catastrophe platform, including Impact Forecasting models, ImpactonDemand, Property Analyser, and Aon Remetrica.
3. Mentor and advise a small team of junior catastrophe analysts.
4. Opportunities for global travel and ongoing professional development.

Our Team Approach

The role involves collaboration with clients across P&C Insurance and Reinsurance markets worldwide, including major players in London, Bermuda, US, Europe, Singapore, and Japan.

Additionally, you will work closely with:

• Reinsurance markets globally
• Colleagues in analytics, broking, and account management within Aon
• Specialists in Cat Research, Model Evaluation, and Actuarial disciplines
• Clients in developing risk views and managing catastrophe risks

About You

As an experienced catastrophe modeller/analyst, your skills and qualifications should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience with RMS and/or Verisk modelling platforms
• Ability to handle and manipulate large datasets using SQL or similar software
• Programming skills (e.g., VBA) are advantageous
• GIS experience (e.g., MapInfo, ArcGIS) is beneficial
