Job Description:

Overview

The Senior Non Natural Catastrophe Analyst will be responsible for developing and improving methodologies, systems, and automation for capturing and monitoring non-natural catastrophe (NNC) exposure data. This includes conducting exposure and scenario-based analytics to manage NNC risk, creating PowerBI-based MI reports for NNC risk assessment across the organization, and defining underwriting risk tolerances within the wider Risk Tolerance Framework. The role also involves assisting in ensuring that NNC risk is appropriately integrated within the Internal Model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the development and continuous improvement of methodologies, systems, and automation for capturing and monitoring NNC exposure data.
  • Conduct exposure and scenario-based analytics to manage NNC risk.
  • Create PowerBI-based MI reports for NNC risk for the wider organization.
  • Define underwriting risk tolerances associated with NNC risk within the wider Risk Tolerance Framework.
  • Assist in ensuring NNC risk is appropriately captured within the Internal Model.

Experience required:

  • Ability to think critically and collaborate with others to form sound business judgments.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, especially the ability to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Programming skills, e.g., R or Python.
  • Interest in a wide range of non-natural catastrophe risks, including but not limited to geopolitical, casualty, and cyber risks.
