Global Catalog Operations team at Amazon is seeking a highly motivated Catalog Specialist II. Proficiency in written and verbal English is essential. The candidate will conduct quality audits, recommend corrections to Amazon’s retail catalog, and use human judgment for customer-centric decisions. Key skills include qualitative and quantitative analysis, communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Lead content audits following established processes and SOPs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Apply sound judgment during audits, even with ambiguous information.
  3. Approve or disapprove audit entries based on guidelines, providing explanations.
  4. Communicate audit results and insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  5. Create high-quality textual content to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  6. Develop and refine prompts/instructions to improve system outputs.
  7. Analyze system outputs, utilize feedback to improve accuracy and recall.
  8. Validate and enrich catalog data using various sources.
  9. Use search techniques to locate products on Amazon and externally.
  10. Identify trends and contribute insights for strategic decisions.
  11. Produce metrics and recommend process improvements.
  12. Demonstrate mastery of Seller Support tools and operations.
  13. Propose improvements in audit activities.
  14. Maintain professionalism and effective communication; serve as a mentor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience using data to influence decisions.
  • Knowledge of SQL and advanced Excel functions.
  • 1+ years in program or project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Arts, or Literature with 1-2 years of content management experience.
  • Proficiency in American English (verbal, written, reading, comprehension).
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of online retail and internet search industries.
  • Ability to review workflows and contribute to process improvements.
  • Willingness to handle sensitive content responsibly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with databases (SQL, MySQL, ETL) and large data sets.
  • Experience managing operational processes with SLA responsibilities.
