Job summary

Cats Protection, the UK's largest cat welfare charity, is looking for a Cat Welfare Engagement Officer in Central Scotland with travel. The role is a 35-hour week, typically 9am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends and a permanent contract.

You’ll develop plans to improve cat welfare, build partnerships with vets and community leaders, and represent the charity at events to raise support for our mission across devolved nations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading operationally on community projects within a charity setting.
• Significant experience applying human behaviour change principles.
• Experience in the charities sector and working with volunteers.
• Full UK manual driving licence and comfortable driving a small van.

Responsibilities

• Improve the lives of cats by working with partners to influence behaviour and decisions.
• Develop and lead a plan to encourage better cat welfare across communities.
• Build strong relationships with local vets, animal welfare officers and community groups.
• Act as an ambassador for Cats Protection at events and key meetings.
