Cats Protection in Huntington, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Deputy Centre Manager. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, includes weekends) oversees centre operations, ensures cat welfare, and supports the Centre Manager.

You'll manage staff rosters, drive high standards of care and admin, and coordinate homing processes while maintaining veterinary standards. DBS check required; driving licence preferred for occasional centre van duties.

Qualifikationen

• Supervisory or team-leading experience, ideally in animal welfare.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of prevention and control of infectious diseases in cats.
• Proactive, driven and able to perform under pressure.
• UK driving licence (manual or automatic) may be required for van duties.

Aufgaben

• Work with the Centre Manager to maintain adequate staffing at all times.
• Ensure welfare of all cats and that admin and maintenance procedures meet high standards.
• Plan and direct activities of cat care staff in agreement with Centre Manager.
• Manage homing and acceptance of cats and ensure veterinary standards are carried out.
