Job summary

Butternut Box’s Marro brand seeks a Head of Food who masters feline nutrition, formulation and sensory science to own the product development strategy end-to-end. You’ll lead trials, drive palatability improvements, and work with Operations, Commercial, Brand and Marketing to deliver a compelling cat food lineup.

Based at Rudie’s Kitchen with some remote work, you’ll influence long-term roadmap and budgets.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in feline nutrition, ingredients, formulation, processing, sensory and palatability.

Responsibilities

• Own the Marro product development strategy end-to-end and turn it into a multi-year roadmap.
• Lead kitchen trials and palatability/sensory testing to drive cat acceptance.
• Set and defend product quality, nutrition and claims with cross-functional partners.
• Manage the Marro budget for trials, research and external specialists.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Brand and Marketing to implement the strategy.
