Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an Inspection Engineer / CAT 3 Plant Inspector to join their team in Southampton for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role requires in-service plant inspections based on a refinery, necessitating qualifications such as an Engineering Technician or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have knowledge of Pressure System Safety Regulations and experience preparing inspection work scopes. Desirable certifications include ASME and API inspections. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in in-service inspection of pressure systems.
• Experience with process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and PRVs.
• Relevant engineering qualifications such as ONC or NVQ Level III.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inspection work scopes and reports as per PSSR.
• Conduct visual examinations of pressure systems.
• Interface with the NDT team for inspection techniques.
• Review PRV certification and inspection frequency.
