Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Group is recruiting for CAT 3 Inspection Engineers to cover the UK regions. The role involves inspection of pressurised static equipment to meet regulatory and client requirements, with a hybrid working arrangement across office, client site and home-based settings.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant engineering discipline, at least 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering and exposure to NDT in the chemical or oil & gas sectors, with a strong focus on safety, compliance

Qualifications

• Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant discipline including in-service inspection of pressure systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pressurised static equipment (vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices) to meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Work within the UKAS Category 3 inspection engineer framework.
• Coordinate with clients and teams to ensure safety, quality and compliance.

As part of the TUV family Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) to source CAT 3 Inspection Engineers to cover the UK in the Northwest, Northeast, Humberside and Southern Regions. Job Summary Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements

Education

• Trained/qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician.

Experience & Skills

• Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience in the Chemical and /or Oil & Gas sectors
• Understanding of engineering principals.
• Good interpersonal skills, and the capability to work independently.
• Appreciation of pressure equipment
• Experience / appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT)

Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers as seen below: Category 3. Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. Appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.

Salary/Rates: Competitive Salary/Rate plus Company Bonus Scheme
