Job summary

Frasia Wright Associates, a national firm with a Glasgow base, is recruiting a solicitor to join its insurance litigation team. The role focuses on defending a wide range of claims, including employers’ liability, public liability, disease and motor/fraud matters, with direct instructions from insurers and insureds.

You will manage your own caseload, handle pre-litigation and litigated matters, and contribute to high-value cases while collaborating with colleagues across the Defender Insurance

Qualifications

• 1+ years' PQE in EL/PL defence or equivalent.
• Experience managing own caseload.
• Good working knowledge of Scottish court procedures (Sheriff Court/Cairn?) is desirable.
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills.
• Experience defending a broad range of claims desirable (EL/PL, disease, motor, fraud).

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated matters.
• Assist on complex, high-value cases.
• Liaise with witnesses, courts, and opponents.
• Advise insurers and insureds on strategy and tactics.
• Work within a Defender Insurance team within a national firm.
