Job summary

Gallagher Re is hiring a Data Analyst/Engineer in London to join the Casualty Analytics team. You will deliver data solutions for reinsurance placements, develop scalable processes, and improve data quality while collaborating with actuaries.

You will build data pipelines in Python, utilise pandas, and design analytics tools, dashboards and benchmarks that compare portfolios across clients and time periods. A hybrid work model is offered, with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (data science, CS, statistics, maths).
• Strong Python production experience with pandas for data cleansing and automation.
• Proven SQL skills and data modelling; relational schemas and data stores.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with actuaries and stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable solutions.
• Design, build and optimise Python data pipelines for ingested, cleansed and standardised data.
• Develop robust data quality checks and controls for data accuracy and completeness.
• Lead the development of a central casualty exposure and claims database with clear schemas.
• Create analytical tools, dashboards and benchmarking datasets across clients and time periods.
