Job summary

Laurus Trust is seeking a hands-on technician to support performing arts across its schools. You will help design and build sets, install lighting and AV for shows, exams and events, and provide technical production support across drama and music activities in multiple Trust sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with departments, flexibility in workload, and opportunities for professional development. Flexible working options may be available.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at A*-C or equivalent.
• Minimum of two A-levels or equivalent.

Job description

This casual post supports performing arts across the schools of the Laurus Trust. The work centres on building sets and providing lighting, sound and AV for shows, exams and events. It covers drama and music across several schools, so the workload moves between departments rather than sitting in one building. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the start date is 19 October 2026.
