Job summary

Coleg Sir Gar is seeking someone to support apprenticeship programmes across Wales, engaging with employers to recruit apprentices and ensuring high-quality delivery and communications for learners.

You will manage a caseload of 55–60 apprentices and work collaboratively to meet KPI targets while travelling to various campuses in Wales. Welsh language proficiency is desired, with CPD ongoing and a strong focus on stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 or higher qualification is required.
  • GCSE English and Maths at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent.
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel and cloud-based applications.

  • Ensure all stakeholders are engaged and receive appropriate communications for successful apprenticeship completion.
  • Collaborate to ensure all apprenticeship programme KPIs are met.

Job description

This is an exciting role designed to support the ongoing delivery of apprenticeship programmes across the business. You will provide support by ensuring that the quality of programmes meets the required standards both internally and externally to provide the very best experience and service to our learners. You will be expected to engage with all stakeholders to ensure excellent relationships are both maintained and grown.,

  • To work closely with employers in the recruitment of apprentices
  • To ensure that all key stakeholders are fully engaged and receive the appropriate communications so that apprentices successfully complete their apprenticeship frameworks
  • To work in collaboration ensuring all apprenticeship programme KPIs are met
  • To work with an allocated case load of up to a minimum of 55 and a maximum of 60 apprentices Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseWelsh Language Requirements:
  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 0/1
  • Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 0/1

  • Level 3 or higher qualification

  • Competence in the use of a range of IT Systems and packages, including Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Bespoke packages and cloud-based applications
  • Good communicator with diplomacy and tact

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good presentational skills
  • Ability to travel to campuses and locations across Wales, IOSH Managing Safely

  • Evidence of CPD that demonstrates engagement in activities to maintain up to date knowledge and skills of industry practices, products and equipment You will receive 28 days holiday (pro rata), plus bank holidays and five closure days which totals at 41 days holiday per year. You also receive an additional 4 days after 5 years service.
