Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Casual Catering Assistant to support school catering across Fleetwood and the surrounding area, delivering healthy meals to primary pupils on a casual basis.

You will join a team across multiple units, assisting with dining area setup, food preparation and serving, and maintaining clean catering spaces. DBS disclosure may be required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and collaboration in a catering environment.
• Excellent customer care and communication with pupils and staff.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Proactive approach and initiative in a busy setting.
• Driving is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas for service and set up furniture.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.
