Job description

The Royal Windsor Racecourse is looking for a motivated, forward-thinking, and driven Retail Food Supervisor to join their team on a casual basis for race days and some small site hire functions and events.

Reporting to the Catering and Retail Manager, you will assist in the operation of the restaurant, hospitality, and bar areas.

  1. Lead by example in all aspects of the business.
  2. Develop strong relationships with guests and staff.
  3. Drive continuous improvement of the customer experience.
  4. Maintain a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  5. Assist in training and developing staff to high standards.
  6. Experience in a high-end food and drinks business or restaurant sector is essential.
  7. Communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers and colleagues; high standard of written and spoken English is required.
  8. Knowledge of licensing, food hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
  9. Experience in cash handling and billing procedures.
  10. Possession of a Personal License is preferred but not essential.
  11. Maintain a customer-focused approach at all times.
  12. Good planning and organizational skills.
  13. Maximize sales opportunities and suggest improvements.
  14. Drive operational standards, attention to detail, and exceed customer expectations.
  15. Proficient in IT skills.
