Retail Sales Assistant - Levy Merchandising

Salary: £13.85 p.h.

Hours per week: casual/zero hours engagement

Working pattern: varied shifts available including weekdays, late evenings (until midnight) and weekends

Target start date: late June 2025

Location: Elvis Evolution - The Immersive Experience Merchandise Store - Immerse LDN, ExCel Waterfront, London

We’re looking for individuals to join our Retail Sales Assistant casual pool on a zero hours contract basis. As part of our casual pool, you’ll have access to ad-hoc Retail Sales Assistant shifts at the Elvis Evolution Merchandise Store.

Our Retail Sales Assistants are the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service to guests visiting the Elvis Evolution Merchandise Store.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with their enquiries, and advising on our product range. You’ll also process sales, replenish stock, and check in any deliveries which arrive in store. We’ll look to you to maintain the highest retail standards, keep the store tidy, and ensure all products are well presented.

This role would suit someone with excellent communication and teamwork skills, who can take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.

We’ll be partnering with Elvis Evolution to deliver their retail operations. Elvis Evolution is a brand new, first-of-its-kind experience from Layered Reality, celebrating the life and work of Elvis Presley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join us at the start of this partnership and be part of setting up our new Merchandise Store.

What you’ll do:

1. Work as part of a store team to create a fun and friendly environment
2. Welcome customers and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience
3. Advise on our product range, assist customers with enquiries, provide product information, and help with purchases
4. Respond efficiently to till queues to ensure customer satisfaction
5. Develop and maintain knowledge of our products, promotions, offers, and new arrivals
6. Process sales accurately at the till and handle payments
7. Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including stock replenishment and display setup
8. Meet high standards of display and visual merchandising for easy customer navigation
9. Check in and store deliveries promptly and correctly
10. Use customer feedback to improve store operations
11. Manage stock, complete audits, and maintain the stock room
12. Follow health, safety, and security procedures to prevent stock loss

Person Specification:

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
• Passion for retail and customer service
• Friendly, approachable, proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build relationships
• Ability to take initiative and make customer-focused decisions
• Strong prioritization and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
