Enthusiastic individuals required to provide day to day supervision in multiple leisure centres across North East Derbyshire.

North East Derbyshire District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

Located in Dronfield and Eckington, our leisure centres offer a range of facilities including sports halls, swimming pools, health and fitness suites, gyms and squash courts.

The successful candidate will supervise swimming pools, changing/locker rooms, sports halls and squash courts. Other duties include assisting swimmers in difficulty, setting out and storing equipment as needed and promoting the centres activities and events.

Candidates must be sports orientated, have a good understanding of a wide range of sports and activities and must hold the RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard 10 th Edition Award. A formal coaching qualification, together with some teaching or coaching experience would be an advantage.

To be successful you will need:

  • RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard 10 th Edition Award
  • The ability to deal with a full age range of customers.
  • A good understanding of a wide range of sports & leisure activities.
  • To be physically fit & capable of heavy lifting.
  • Experience of working in a team and acting on own initiative.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Enhanced Level.
