Do you have a passion for customer service and an understanding of basic health and safety requirements?

If so, this role is for you! You will be supporting the Catering Supervisor at The Conway Outdoor Education Centre, representing Edsential and our customer’s school to ensure high-quality food standards and excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food provision, including preparation, cooking, serving meals, portion control, and managing special diets, allergens, and intolerances.
• Prepare dining areas and service counters.
• Clean dining, kitchen, and staff facilities.
• Operate tills (where appropriate), adhere to IT practices, and undertake relevant training.
• Follow safe working systems, maintain hygiene and safeguarding standards according to policies and legislation.
• Actively promote the service and maintain good relationships with customers, including catering outside contracted hours for events.

What we require from you:

• Previous experience in a school kitchen is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy, customer-facing role.
