Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Catering Services has a proud record of achievements and prides itself on its dynamic workforce through its School Catering Service. Our school catering teams are skilled in transforming seasonal ingredients into nutritious cooked meals that help to educate young people to support healthier lifestyles.
About the role....
We are currently looking to strengthen our casual workforce by recruiting motivated, flexible individuals who will provide cover for permanent staff in the Rhondda, Cynon and Taf areas. School catering duties will include different elements of food preparation and food serving, as well as washing up and cleaning in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The service operates term time only, Monday to Friday with working hours ranging between 9.00 a.m. & 2.00pm.
About you....
Casual staff are required to cover periods of absence of permanent staff. To be successful in this role, you must have the following attributes:
All successful casual applicants must have a food safety Certificate – Level 2 or a willingness to work towards gaining the qualification.
Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council.
In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
