Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd. seeks Class 1 casual drivers to deliver alcoholic products across the UK from Sandford. You will perform open-route deliveries, ensure safe loads, and maintain professional customer service. The role runs on a flexi, casual basis to cover peaks, holidays, and absences.

Applicants must hold a UK HGV Class 1 CE licence, a DCPC Card, and a Digital Tachograph Card. Regular training and close transport-team communication are provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE licence.
• Possess a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Bring passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

• Have excellent geographical knowledge for routing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver alcoholic products from customer sites to RDCs, retail outlets, and warehouse locations across the UK.
• Complete out-and-back delivery routes, planning journeys efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Provide a high standard of customer service, communicating professionally with customers in person and by phone.
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured to prevent shifting or damage using straps, nets, and other devices.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using company phone to maintain vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with transport team and provide progress updates.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with industry standards and best practices.
