Job summary

Portsmouth Gymnastics Centre is hiring a casual Level 2 Gymnastics Coach to run a safe, energetic programme that supports learning and progression through fun and movement.

The role requires a Level 2 gymnastics coaching qualification, ongoing DBS clearance, and availability to work evenings and weekends. You will help supervise gymnasts, ensure proper matting and safety, and contribute to a positive, inclusive gym environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 Gymnastics Coach qualification.
• Member of British Gymnastics and renew annually.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS clearance and a new DBS check every 3 years.
• Availability to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all gymnasts and provide clear instruction for participation.
• Provide hands-on support to gymnasts learning new skills and help reduce or prevent falls.
• Ensure matting and pits are used during learning phases and gymnasts are supported by strong physical planning and preparation.
• Complete an accident form and inform the Duty Manager to support with first aid if any accident occurs.
• Hold a current enhanced DBS check and have a new DBS check completed every 3 years.
• Maintain high energy levels and portray motivating body language at all times.

Join our team as a casual Level 2 gymnastics coach at Portsmouth Gymnastics Centre. The role involves running a safe, organised and high‑energy gymnastics programme to enable learning and progression through fun and movement.
