Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Casual Funeral Service Operatives. You will support families during services and behind the scenes, with a 0-hour casual contract and a requirement for a full UK driving licence. Training and uniform are provided.

You will be part of a team that delivers services with dignity and respect, especially during peak periods. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities to learn and grow within the Dignity team.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
• Compassion, empathy and professionalism.
• Understanding the importance of presentation and discretion.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours, including short-notice availability.
• Comfortable with tasks involving direct contact with the deceased.

Responsibilities

• Assisting at funeral services, bearing coffins, setting up venues and supporting mourners.
• Driving and operating hearses and limousines.
• Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy.
• Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service.
• Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct and service delivery.
