Job summary

Arena Racing Company is seeking casual catering staff at Lingfield Park Resort to deliver high standards of service during racing events and hospitality functions. You will be part of a team ensuring smooth service, managing stock, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Experience in hospitality is helpful but not essential; we welcome applicants who can work flexibly around event fixtures and enjoy teamwork and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve all customers in an efficient, professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Ensure guests receive the highest standard of customer service at all times.
• Advise guests on all products available within the venue.
• Promote a happy and welcoming atmosphere within the venue.
• Work both alone or as part of a team to meet guests' needs to the highest standard.
• Maintain stock levels and rotation to avoid waste and assist with stocktaking.
• Ensure the work area is stocked with glassware, ice and condiments.
• Lay up and prepare restaurants/boxes for service of meals and beverages.
• Serve guests with correct food and beverage service knowledge and clean up as required.
• Serve wine and other drinks from the bar as directed by management.
• Keep work and public areas clean and tidy; follow health and safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Record orders accurately, record billing and process payments per procedures.
• Close tills according to company procedures.
• Maintain temperature records and other relevant paperwork.
• Adhere to licensing policies and procedures.
• Handle cash, stock and equipment securely.
• Act as an information point for customers.
• Record wastage and dispose of rubbish according to venue recycling initiatives.
• Adhere to company policies and undertake other duties as required.
