Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and set up computers for online exams.
• Supervise candidates and explain examination rules at start and end.

• Report malpractice or potential issues to the Examination Officer.
• Attend training to stay up to date with procedures and JCQ guidelines.
• Complete candidate attendance registers.
• Follow awarding organisation guidelines to ensure exam integrity.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit committed and responsible individuals to join our existing examinations invigilation team on a flexible basis. You will need to have good communication, organisational and time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• preparing exam rooms, including setting up computers for online exams
• providing a calm and professional environment, working to ensure that all candidates are given the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exams
• supervising candidates throughout and informing them of examination rules and regulations at the start and end of each exam
• provide the correct information and material for a successful completion of exam
• distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with the JCQ regulations
• follow JCQ and Awarding Organisation guidelines/regulations to ensure the integrity and security of examination papers are adhered to
• be vigilant and report any malpractice or potential malpractice to the Examination Officer
• attend training when required to keep up to date with new procedures, college requirements, and JCQ regulations
• completion of candidate attendance registers

Experience of exam invigilating is desirable; however full training will be provided. This is a casual contract and working hours will be negotiated every three weeks.
