Job summary

Sir Robert Pattinson Academy in Wollaton invites applications for Examination Invigilators on a casual basis. You will work as part of a team or individually, setting out papers, taking registers, reading instructions and supervising students during examinations to JCQ regulations.

Training is provided on joining, with annual refreshers. Successful candidates should be reliable, flexible and available throughout the year during main exam periods (January, March, May and June).

Whatwe need:

We are looking to recruitExamination Invigilators on a casual basis to join our team of experiencedstaff conducting internal and external examinations for our students. To besuccessful in this role you will have excellent attention to detail; beflexible with work hours; have excellent timekeeping and organisational skills.Previous experience is not necessary, as comprehensive training will beprovided. Applicants should be available throughout the year on an ad-hocbasis. Our main examination times will run during January, March, May, andJune. The role of an invigilator is key to ensuring examinations runefficiently and effectively for our students.

This role may be carried outas part of a team of invigilators for large number of students, or as anindividual invigilator for a smaller number of candidates. The role involvessetting out examination papers, taking registers, reading instructions, andsupervising students during the examination in accordance with strict JCQregulations. After the examination, you will be responsible for the safecollection of papers to be returned to the Examinations Manager. This rolewould suit someone who is confident, trustworthy, adaptable and widelyavailable throughout our academy's examination periods.

Further training will beprovided on an annual basis and invigilators are required to work withintightly prescribed procedures. There are also opportunities to progress to aLead Invigilator.
