Job summary

Leicester College is looking to recruit committed and responsible individuals to join our examinations invigilation team on a flexible basis. You will need good communication, organisational and time management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties include preparing exam rooms, monitoring candidates, and ensuring JCQ compliance. Full training will be provided, and working hours are negotiated every three weeks.

Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, including setting up computers for online exams.
• Providing a calm and professional environment to give candidates the best chance to succeed in their exam.
• Supervising candidates and informing them of examination rules at start and end of each exam.
• Providing correct information and materials for successful completion of the exam.
• Distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with JCQ regulations.
• Following JCQ and Awarding Organisation guidelines to ensure integrity and security of papers.
• Being vigilant and reporting malpractice to the Examination Officer.
• Attending training to keep up to date with procedures, college requirements and JCQ regulations.

• providing a calm and professional environment, working to ensure that all candidates are given the best possible opportunity to be successful in their exam
• supervising candidates throughout and informing them of examination rules and regulations at the start and end of each exam
• provide the correct information and material for a successful completion of exam
• distributing and collecting exam papers in accordance with the JCQ regulations
• follow JCQ and Awarding Organisation guidelines/regulations to ensure the integrity and security of examination papers are adhered to
• be vigilant and report any malpractice or potential malpractice to the Examination Officer
• attend training when required to keep up to date with new procedures, college requirements, and JCQ regulations

Experience of exam invigilating is desirable; however full training will be provided. This is a casual contract and working hours will be negotiated every three weeks.
