Job summary

Wilson Vale in Cambridge is seeking a Casual Events Assistant to join one of our conference venues. The role is casual/zero hours, with a focus on supporting event setup, delivery and clear-down.

You will serve food and beverages, assist guests and help ensure each event runs smoothly and professionally across a range of events from conferences to private dinners. Prior experience in similar roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar events role is preferred.
• Ability to stay organised in high-pressure environments.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety guidelines.

We are currently recruiting for a Casual Events Assistant to join our team at one of our conference venues in Cambridge, CB3 9AL.

Please note, this is a casual/zero hour.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

As a Casual Events Assistant, you will support the set-up, delivery, and clear-down of a wide range of events. Your responsibilities will include serving food and beverages, assisting guests, and ensuring each event runs smoothly and professionally.

We host a diverse programme of events, including large-scale functions, intimate private dinners, receptions, and conferences.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be customer focused
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working part of the team
