Job summary

RAFAKidz Shawbury is seeking Casual Early Years Educators to join our RAF Shawbury nursery in Shrewsbury. Casual hours offer flexible work–life balance, with the chance to transition to permanent roles as opportunities arise. Candidates should have a love of children, warmth, patience, and a good sense of humour.

Prior childcare experience is desirable but not essential. Duties include outdoor and messy play, meal assistance, recording progress, and promoting high safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Loving and caring nature and patience are essential.
• Ability to work with children in a nursery setting is desirable but not required.
• Be flexible and able to adapt to a casual working pattern.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on and creative with messy and outdoor play activities.
• Assist with meals and snack times.
• Keep records on children's progress and daily activities.
• Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Meet and greet families and build relationships.
• Be willing to learn EYFS concepts from colleagues.
