Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking a Driver to transport passengers to and from educational establishments across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Humber Region. You will work as part of the Passenger Services Unit, delivering school transport with a focus on safeguarding and customer service.

Hours vary but typically include early mornings and late afternoons, Monday to Friday, with on‑the‑job training through the Midas programme.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive professionally and safely.
• Understanding safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers to and from educational establishments across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Humber Region.
• Provide safe and reliable transport for children with challenging behaviour, vulnerable adults, and individuals with additional needs.
• Attend interview driving assessment and follow service policies.

The passenger Services Unit is seeking to recruit a Driver to transport passengers to and from various educational establishments across the East Riding of Yorkshire and Humber Region

Passenger Services provides Drivers and Passenger Assistants to transport various types of passengers ( children with challenging behaviour, vulnerable adults, children with additional needs, medical patients ) from home to schools, day centres and other destinations where required.

Hours of work can vary depending on the needs of the service but are generally between 06:00am and 10:30am and 14:00pm and 18:00pm Monday - Friday.
