Job Title: Casual Dance Coach (West London & Spelthorne)

Department: Sports Participation and Schools

Reports to: Gymnastics & Area Leads

The main purpose of the role is to deliver pre-school, curriculum, and extra-curricular dance sessions to children and young people, with flexibility for irregular hours.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver dance sessions tailored to participants' abilities.
• Create a safe, fun environment encouraging movement exploration.
• Develop relationships with participants, staff, and stakeholders.
• Maintain monitoring records, risk assessments, and relevant documentation.
• Participate in quality assurance training.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and appropriate for age.
• Use age-appropriate topics and music.
• Provide feedback to relevant parties.
• Be aware of medical issues and handle confidential information appropriately.
• Follow safeguarding policies, report concerns, and participate in training.
• Maintain accurate incident records and collaborate with team members.

Key Internal Relationships:

• Gymnastics Lead and coaching team.
• Senior Dance Coach.
• Qualifications: Safeguarding certificate, Emergency Aid certificate, current DBS.
• Skills: Initiative, teamwork, communication, dance session planning and delivery, physical demonstration, flexibility, and transport.
• Qualifications desired: Gymnastics Level 1, Cheer Qualification, SEN experience, school coaching experience, understanding of School games, willingness to learn PE delivery.

• Ability to work independently and in teams.
