Job summary

Dorset Council UK is hiring staff to help run the Cycle Hire & Adventure Valley facilities. The role involves weekend, bank holiday and school holiday shifts, with outdoor duties in all weathers to welcome visitors.

You will handle daily operations, supervise opening and closing, assist customers, perform basic repairs, ensure safety and maintain cleanliness to high standards. Fully training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and customer service focus.
• Ability to work weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day to day operations at the Cycle Hire & Adventure Valley
• Opening and closing of cycle hire & Adventure Valley facilities
• Checking of cycles and other equipment to ensure they are safe to hire
• Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks following appropriate training
• Keep all areas of clean and presentable
• Hire cycles and other equipment to a high standard of customer care
• Give instruction and information to visitors about equipment and trails
• Carry out cash handling and end of day cashing up procedures
• Work outdoors in all weathers
• Follow procedures and work within Health and Safety guidelines

Job description
