Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking a Casual Tennis Coach to support its Junior Sport Tennis programme. You will work with the Cardiff Met Junior Sport team to deliver engaging tennis coaching, assist in teaching, and help develop training plans alongside the Lead Coach to enhance participant outcomes.

Casual Coach - Tennis

Our Junior Sport Tennis Casual Coach is a key team member for Junior Sport / Sport Systems team, and associated areas of Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of the Tennis Junior sports programme (Cardiff Met Junior Tennis) and ensure that the needs of participants are met.

You'll lead the way by:

• Assisting the Lead Coaches of Tennis and wider Cardiff Met Junior Sport team in the delivery of high-quality Tennis coaching.


• Supporting our participants / athletes in their development of all elements of Tennis, across a range of age groups and development levels


• Assist in teaching and refining of Tennis skills for various levels of ability.


• Collaborate with the Lead Coach to develop and refine training programmes, offering feedback on what is working well and what could be improved.

What you'll Bring

You'll use your previous experience of coaching & working within a sport coaching environment and understanding of the importance of customer care to provide an outstanding service to our Tennis participants. Your knowledge of industry standards and national governing body policies will ensure that our Tennis programmes are both safe and of the highest standards.

Additionally you'll have

• Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or above) in tennis.


• Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for participants.


• Experience working with customers and parents.
