Join to apply for the Casual Coach – Swimming Teacher role at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Our Swimming Teacher is a key team member for the Aquatics & Sport Systems team, supporting Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of Learn to Swim & School Swimming programmes, ensuring participant needs are met.

Learn To Swim

Programmes run on the following days & times:

• Tuesdays 17:00 - 19:00
• Thursdays 18:00 - 20:00
• Saturdays 09:00 - 11:00

School Swimming

• Monday - Fridays 10:00 - 12:00

You’ll Lead The Way By

• Having experience as a lead swimming teacher in a school, club, or recreation environment.
• Planning and delivering progressive lesson plans.
• Communicating effectively with parents or guardians.
• Assessing, monitoring, and recording swimmer’s progress through formal assessments.

What You’ll Bring

Using your experience in teaching and working within aquatic environments, along with a strong customer care focus, you will provide outstanding service to swimming participants. Knowledge of industry standards and policies will ensure safe, high-quality programmes.

Additionally You’ll Have

• Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Aquatics, such as ASA Level 2, SEQ Level 2, or STA Level 2.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Experience working with customers and parents.
