Job summary

Sodexo Live! at Preston North End Football Club is hiring Casual Chefs to join our fast-paced, guest-focused catering team on matchdays. You’ll prepare and serve food to specification, maintain kitchen hygiene, and work with a friendly, professional crew.

This role offers casual hours with rates starting at £14.50 per hour, depending on experience, and real opportunities for progression within a world-leading food and facilities management company.

Responsibilities

• All products and food items are prepared and served as per pre-agreed food specification.
• All food items for service are present, portion controlled as per Head & Executive Chefs instructions.
• To ensure and maintain the quality of food prep, production, and presentation within the venue with correct use of equipment.
• To ensure the cleanliness of the Kitchen to the standard of EHO requirements.
• Visual hazard check of kitchen.

Deepdale is a prestigious footballing venue, home to Preston North End and steeped in history. The Lilywhites' home ground holds the privileged title of being the oldest professional footballing site in the world in continuous use.

Whilst many sides have shifted about from spot to spot in their short or long term history, Preston North End have remained loyal to the piece of turf in PR1, making it their home since 21st January 1875 when the club's members first took out a lease on the plot of land.

In 2004, the famous ‘The Splash’ statue was built to honour Sit Tom Finney, the club’s most famous former player, which now sits proudly outside of ‘The Gentry Bar’, PNE’s new fan zone.

What you'll do

• All products and food items are prepared and served as per pre-agreed food specification.
• All food items for service are present, portion controlled as per Head & Executive Chefs instructions.
• To ensure and maintain the quality of food prep, production, and presentation within the venue with correct use of equipment
• To ensure the cleanliness of the Kitchen to the standard of EHO requirements
• Visual hazard check of kitchen
• Correct PPE is worn throughout shift, full uniform blue trousers & Tops, safety shoes must be worn at all times
