Job summary

Baxterstorey is hiring a General Assistant on a casual basis for SRUC Oatridge. The role involves helping with breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, maintaining front and back of house cleanliness, and ensuring food safety. Training and development are provided, with evening and weekend shifts possible.

Applicants with catering experience, good health and safety knowledge, and strong organizational skills are preferred. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house, and back of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
