At the Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall, we host over 380 national and international events each year, ranging from high-profile conferences and exhibitions to awards ceremonies and corporate events for up to 2,500 delegates. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Casual AV Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our events run seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up, operating, and de-rigging a variety of audio, visual, and lighting equipment for diverse events.
  • Providing hands-on technical support to clients on event days, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and venue teams to bring events to life.
  • Preparing, loading, and unloading AV equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the highest standard of equipment presentation.
  • Adhering to health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Supporting other departments when needed – we’re a team that works together.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a similar role in a similar environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering flawless events.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.
  • General IT proficiency.
