Job summary

Relais & Chateaux at Thornbury Castle invites applications for a Kitchen Porter - Kitchen Assistant to join our five-star hotel team. You will support the kitchen operation, handle dishwashing and basic prep, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role includes evening and weekend shifts on a zero hours contract, with compensation of £12.71 per hour. Training will be provided, and staff benefits include meals and parking where available.

Responsibilities

• Use the industrial dishwashers to clean all crockery and chefs’ utensils
• Clean the Kitchen Areas following full Food Safety and COSHH guidelines
• Basic preparation of vegetables under the supervision of senior chefs
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
• Support the team and help colleagues where needed
